In 2021 Sacred Earth Solar worker with the community to install solar panels on the roofs of three cabins at the Gidimt’en checkpoint in Wet’suwet’en Territory. These homes are for Wet’suwet’en people to access their territory and heal on their homelands. Gidimt’en checkpoint is directly in the path of the proposed Coastal Gas Link pipeline, and has faced militarized raids several times over the past few years. This project is an act of resistance to the ongoing stripping removal of indigenous communities access to their land.
