Sámi Indigenous Culture under Threat in Sweden | #WorldWeWant

The traditional way of living of the Sámi Indigenous people of Northern Europe — which is deeply rooted in nature and reindeer herding — is being disrupted by warmer winters, changing precipitation patterns, and summer wildfires in the Arctic. The impacts of climate change are threatening not just the survival of reindeer but the entire Sámi culture.

To protect indigenous culture, livelihoods, and their future, the Sámi Youth Association from Sweden, Sáminuorra, takes the EU to court over its insufficient climate policies.
