Danni Taaffe

Head of Communications

Danni has over 17 years of experience in media, communications, influencing and activism. Irish born, Danni has lived and worked in Ireland, Spain, Cambodia, China, the Netherlands, the UK, the US and Greece. Danni’s career in advocacy includes roles as Head of News at Oxfam International and Communications Manager for the Executive Director of Greenpeace International. Danni also initiated and ran a global Thought Leadership program while at Greenpeace International. Prior to joining the movement, Danni worked as a broadcast journalist for BBC News and Sky  News, and as an actor. Danni holds a Master’s degree in International Journalism from University College Falmouth, a Postgraduate Certificate in Climate Entrepreneurship from Trinity College Dublin, and a Bachelor’s degree in Acting from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, London. Danni is a Board Member of DROP, a Dublin-based charity offering services to individuals, families and communities affected by substance misuse and addiction. Danni is also on the Board of the Theatre of the NO, Athen’s newest English-language theatre, and is a long term volunteer for the Muslim Sisters of Éire, a non-profit providing a range of supports for people experiencing homelessness, and promoting empowerment, social inclusion and diversity, in Ireland.
