Ruchi Chaudhary has over 22 years of extensive, progressive experience in the
design, implementation, and management of gender-transformative programs within globally recognized organizations like Plan International. Ruchi’s career is distinguished by her leadership in advancing safeguarding and gender equality policies, serving as a lead trainer for their rollout and execution across diverse contexts.
A recognized authority in gender and child rights, Ruchi has served as a core
committee member of the Committee Against Sexual Harassment (CASH) and as a member of redressal committees for child protection in her previous roles. Her expertise has been instrumental in shaping organizational policies that prioritize equity, inclusion, and safety.
Currently, Ruchi serves as Program Manager at Climate Action Network South Asia (CANSA), where she actively engages with critical global discussions on adaptation strategies and just energy transitions. Within CANSA, she integrates her gender and child rights expertise to amplify youth voices and ensure an inclusive approach to climate action.
Ruchi’s commitment to humanitarian and development work extends beyond her professional roles. She is a Board Member of Sphere India, a national coalition of humanitarian, development, and resilience actors in India. In this capacity, she contributes to shaping strategic initiatives that address pressing global challenges through collaboration and innovation.
