Platform of Action Activities at COP28

The Global Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Pledge to triple the capacity of the former and double the latter was announced on 2nd December 2023. Since then, over 123 countries have signed on to the pledge. The First Global Stock Take text adopted on 13th December 2023 also reaffirmed while calling on parties to triple renewable energy capacity while doubling the annual rate of energy efficiency improvements by 2030.

PoA is keen to continue to work with CSO and like-minded partners to advocate for sign on of the pledge by all other countries and ensure its application at national levels, including providing support to address challenges that may be faced in the same.
