About Trust
Trust Kudzayi Chikodzo is a climate justice campaigner and movement catalyst with deep roots in organising. Before joining CAN I, he coordinated the Kick Polluters Out Network, a pan-African community of creatives and activists challenging big polluters’ social licence and exposing greenwashing –
hosted by Magamba Network in Zimbabwe, with partner hubs in Senegal and Kenya.
With his team, Trust helped drive the flagship #KickTotalOutOfAFCON campaign, using satire, comedy, and Hip Hop – a campaign that went viral, featured in global media, and drew public comment from TotalEnergies twice. He was also part of the first-ever Week of Actions Against TotalEnergies in 2025, working alongside others across 11 countries calling for a fossil fuel phase-out amongst other actions that centered justice for the Global Majority.
Trust is the founder of the Sisonke Climate Justice Project, engaging young Zimbabweans through creative interventions, and an alumnus of the Climate Justice Academy (CJA), where human rights-based practice sits at the heart of his organising. His digital storytelling has bridged frontline communities affected by extractivism with the audiences whose narrative power can shift what’s politically possible, and has brought that same instinct for ‘artivism,’ coalition-building and mobilisation to CAN International’s global network.
