About Sanele

Prior to joining CAN-International, she was an Assistant Accountant at Plan International, where
she managed full-cycle grant financial management for a SIDA-funded project and led budget
forecasting and reporting for UNICEF-funded projects. She also served as a District Finance and
Administration Officer at Bantwana Zimbabwe, overseeing financial and administrative
operations for a USAID funded grant. Before that, she was a Finance Officer at Childline
Zimbabwe, where she was in charge of financial coordination for UNICEF and Terre des
Hommes funded projects.
She holds a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce Honours
Degree in Accounting from the National University of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe.
She is also finalising her Association of Chartered Certified Accountants qualification.

Based in Zimbabwe, she enjoys travelling, solving puzzles and learning new languages. She is
excited to be joining the CAN International team and contributing to the fight against climate
change and the pursuit of climate justice for all.
