Nugzar Kokhreidze, CAN EECCA

Nugzar Kokhreidze is a climate advocate and civil society leader from Georgia working at the intersection of climate action, conflict transformation, and governance.

He is Co-founder and Chairperson of the Research-Intellectual Club “Dialogue of Generations” (RICDOG), where he leads initiatives on environmental protection, civic engagement, and youth climate awareness . He has been engaged in the international climate movement since 2009, supporting public mobilization and advocacy on climate justice and sustainability .

From 2007 to 2018, Nugzar served with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Georgia, working on migration, displacement, and development programming. His work strengthened his expertise on the links between climate impacts, mobility, and resilience in vulnerable communities. He also worked with the Berghof Foundation as Western Georgia Coordinator, facilitating dialogue and conflict transformation processes.

Nugzar holds a PhD in International Relations, focusing on conflict transformation, migration governance, and regional cooperation in the Caucasus. His academic and professional work connects climate-related risks, environmental security, and peacebuilding in fragile and politically complex contexts.
