About Mediatrix

Mediatrix joined CAN International in 2024 as a Policy Assistant supporting the Platform of Action for Renewable Energy (PoA). In this role, she contributes to advocating for policies that ensure a just and equitable transformation of energy systems worldwide.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of the Philippines and a Master’s degree in Human Rights, with a focus on Environment and Sustainability, from Sciences Po Paris. Prior to joining CAN, Mediatrix worked as a Research and Project Assistant at the Commission on Human Rights of the Philippines, contributing to the National Inquiry on Climate Change (Carbon Majors Inquiry), which examined the human rights impacts of climate change and the responsibilities of the fossil fuel industry.

Mediatrix has also been involved in international climate action initiatives. She worked at the Climate Action Accelerator as a Communications Officer, where she focused on environmental sustainability in the humanitarian sector. Additionally, she has contributed to the Roots Project of Greenpeace International, which looked at youth mobilization in environmental advocacy in Southeast Asia.

Her work spans various areas, including decarbonization, corporate accountability, and sustainable development, reflecting her commitment to the intersections of human rights, social justice, and environmental advocacy. In her free time, she enjoys creative activities like acrylic painting and cooking.
