Jean Su, USCAN

Board Co-Chair

Jean Su is the Energy Director of the Climate Law Institute at the Center for Biological Diversity. Jean focuses on transforming legal structures of the U.S. power sector to achieve rapid increases in renewable and clean energy, phase out fossil fuels, and electrify transportation. She also litigates to challenge the U.S.-Mexico border wall and its devastation to wildlife. Prior to becoming an attorney, Jean worked in modelling carbon mitigation technologies in the buildings sector with McKinsey & Company in China and as a development worker with CARE Madagascar. Jean also serves on the Board of Directors for SustainUS. She is an avid mountain hiker and an art docent at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.
