About Jana
Jana spent her professional life working for civil society organisations at local, national and international level. Before joining CAN, she worked for the International Civil Society Centre, as well as a local child support NGO in Namibia and Amnesty International Germany. Jana has broad experience in programme development and implementation, in capacity development as well as in coordinating international partnerships and networks. In her prior roles she worked on thematic issues such as driving transformational change, climate change, human rights, Post 2015 and shrinking civic space.
Jana holds a Bachelor’s in Politics and Public Administration and a Master's in Children's Rights. She studied at the University of Constance, the Institut d’Études Politiques d’Aix-en-Provence and the Free University of Berlin.
Being passionate about working for a global transition towards a sustainable, equitable and just world, Jana is excited to work for CAN, a network that brings together organisations from across the globe to achieve the protection of the global climate in a manner that promotes equity and social justice between people. Jana is particularly passionate about mobilising for a transition to 100% renewable energy as an effective approach addressing environmental sustainability and social justice together.
