Fatou Jammeh is an impact-driven professional with over a decade of experience working at the intersection of international development, humanitarian and social justice, and strategic coordination. With a career spanning Canada, Europe, and Africa, she brings a global outlook and strong cultural fluency that enables her to build and manage relationships across diverse regions and networks.
Fatou has held leadership and advisory roles with organizations such as the UN World Food Programme, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) Canada, Africans Rising, UNICEF Canada, The MATCH International Women’s Fund, and the Women’s Legal Aid Centre. In these roles, she has coordinated and led strategic fundraising efforts, and supported diverse initiatives in multiple countries. Her experience includes managing partnerships with major institutional donors and prominent private foundations—helping grassroots organizations and global movements alike build long-term sustainability.
In addition to her institutional work, Fatou has provided consulting support to over 15 nonprofits and social movements, helping them design organizational strategies, strengthen internal systems, and expand their impact across borders. Through her consulting practice, she continues to support mission-driven organizations in developing sustainable fundraising strategies, cultivating strategic alliances, and effectively communicating their impact.
Multilingual in English, French, and Mandinka, with conversational Swahili, Fatou leverages her language skills to foster trust and collaboration in cross-regional work. She is deeply committed to movement-building values and thrives in roles that bridge grassroots leadership with global strategy—making her a strong ally in building more equitable, impactful, and climate-just systems.
