Human Resources Committee Lead & Board Focal Point for Anti-Bullying, Anti-Harassment

Christian Holz is the Senior Research Associate of the Climate Equity Reference Project. Christian also serves on the board of Climate Action Network Canada – Réseau Action Climat Canada. Christian’s work aims to combine rigorous scholarship and effective advocacy to address the global climate crisis by focussing on the role of equity and justice as enablers of ambitious climate action, while safeguarding the right of the world’s poor to pursue lives free of poverty. In particular, Christian is a main contributor to the Climate Equity Reference Project‘s effort sharing framework and the principle programmer of its Climate Equity Reference Calculator. Christian is also an author and contributor to the annual climate equity assessments of the Civil Society Equity Review. Christian is a competitive ultra-cyclist and triathlete, plays the double bass, and has a PhD in sociology from the University of Glasgow. Christian’s home and workplace are on the unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishnaabeg people (Ottawa, Canada).
