The compounding crises of the global climate emergency, the COVID19 pandemic and worsening social inequalities is a testimony to the systemic failures governing people’s lives, and it is hitting vulnerable communities hardest. We have to act now for a safer, fairer and just world for all.

Voices from the Frontlines

The #WorldWeWant Campaign on Climate Impacts amplifies the voices of people fighting to survive on the frontlines of multiple emergencies. It reveals the consequences of decades of government inaction and highlights solutions required to inspire and achieve a world that people aspire towards. It brings out the human faces of climate change to win more hearts and build power for social change.

The campaign empowers grassroots communities to tell their stories to a global audience. With interview and filming skills acquired through the campaign, CAN members and their communities have created over 30 short films from the ground using their smartphones and cameras.

Local Stories, Global Support

Amidst the crises, hope lies in our solidarity and determination to pursue the #WorldWeWant. These short films are co-produced and disseminated widely by a global campaign team to raise awareness, widen the space for impacted voices in climate advocacy, and rally wider support for transformative systemic change. We are unleashing the power of empathy and unify the voices calling for social and climate justice.

Together, let’s demand governments to join efforts to address adaptation, loss and damage, and adequate finance and other support to the most affected communities.
