PGVS started as an initiative for providing medical assistance to the poorest within the community. Later, with exposure and experiential learning, we included education, governance, public health, agri-livelihoods, literacy and disaster management as themes of intervention. However, the organization has found that working in an integrated development framework having disaster preparedness as the key theme is the most effective approach for the area. The functions that we execute in the above mentioned area of work are
· Planning and implementation of disaster
· Preparedness & Risk Reduction programmes
· Facilitating Community Mobilization
· Capacity building of community and other
· Civil society organizations
· Conducting Research studies
