Kentucky Conservation Committee

The Kentucky Conservation Committee (KCC) is a coalition of individuals and organizations working for a healthy environment and strong protections of Kentucky’s natural resources and places. We find resolute support from Kentucky’s voters for these goals and we encourage legislators to enact environmentally responsible policies.

KCC works to make sound environmental stewardship a priority for elected officials and voters.

Founded in 1975, KCC supports conservation and sustainable environmental policies, and holds elected officials accountable for the decisions they make affecting our resources and our air and water quality.

The mission of the Kentucky Conservation Committee is to be a trusted voice of the public in Kentucky’s capitol and throughout Kentucky, effectively advocating for protection, restoration and sustainable use of natural resources.

Our Vision: KCC’s vision is for Kentucky to be a responsible steward of the Commonwealth’s land, air, water and biota, and for Kentuckians to understand that the health of their families, communities and economy depends on the conservation of these resources.
