Anastasia Bekish

Anastasia Bekish is a professional in the field of climate policy, civil society development, and project management with 10-years’ experience in non-profit organizations in Belarus and EECCA region. Since 2009, Ms. Bekish had been serving as a climate policy adviser in the Belarusian coalition of environmental CSOs “Green Network” and was responsible for an independent review of national climate policy, support of capacity building programs for environmental activists and public awareness-raising activities. Ms. Bekish has a deep knowledge of the UNFCCC negotiation process and served as a CSOs observer, as well as a negotiator on behalf of Belarus (COP21 in Paris). Currently, Anastasia leads the Green Network as an Executive Director. As a regional coordinator of the Climate Action Network Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia in 2013-2017 Ms. Bekish led the process of strategy development and organizational development, achieved more than 60% growth in membership. Anastasia is a mother of  3 kids and can't live without traveling the world (especially, mountains). She lives and works in Minsk, Belarus.
